Ppox 基因表型（MGI）

Mice homozygous for a knock-out allele exhibit decreased embryo size, abnormal head shape and allantois morphology, failure of embryo turning, impaired heart development, incomplete rostral neuropore closure, caudal neural tube kinks, placentation defects, and complete lethality during organogenesis. Mice heterozygous for the R59W knock-in mutation exhibit elevated stool porphyrin levels and reduced hepatic protoporphyrinogen oxidase activity.
