Mice homozygous for a knock-out allele exhibit impaired embryonic growth and development at E7.5 with reduced cell proliferation and complete resorption by E9.5. Mice homozygous for a conditional allele activated in hepatocytes exhibit hepatic insulin resistance. Homozygosity for the phosphorylation-blocking p.T73V mutation affects neuron morphology in the striatum and leads to anxiety-like phenotypes.
