Homozygotes for a transposon-induced allele exhibit sublethality at E12.5 and complete lethality at E15.5, and cardiac, vascular system, liver, limb, and eye abnormalities. Heterozygotes for a null allele exhibit a high rate of preweaning leathality, are smaller, and have tremors, ataxia, seizures, and tooth overgrowth.
