Mice homozygous for a knock-out allele show early embryonic lethality. Adult mice heterozygous for a different knock-out allele show decreased corpus callosum size in both sexes, and male-specific neuroanatomical phenotypes including decreased total brain area, decreased cingulate, secondary somatosensory and retrosplenial granular cortex size, and reduced anterior commissure and caudate putamen area.
