Homozygous inactivation of this gene causes embryonic lethality and extensive developmental defects in inbred strains. In an outbred background, viable homozygotes show growth, craniofacial and skeletal anomalies, subfertility, defective B and T cell maturation, leukopenia, and tumor predisposition.
