Mice homozygous for a null allele exhibit decreased susceptibility to thrombus formation in the ferric chloride injury model, impaired platelet adhesion to GPAGPOGPX peptides and fibrillar collagen, and a reduced size of platelet aggregates captured onto collagen, triple-helical collagen mimetic peptides, von Willebrand factor, and fibrinogen.
